Question? While at your base camp you decide to go hunting. You look at your compass and walk two miles south and then two miles west only to discover you are still only two miles from camp. You see a bear. What color is he?
Greetings to all you residents of the Lower 48. The Army in their infinite wisdom has chosen to evaluate Army Aviation in Alaska this week. Therefore, I hope to finish the NSXPO story while I'm huddled in some igloo. The temperatures aren't that bad yet (i.e., Delta Junction gets to -70; spit freezes before it hits the ground) and there is still plenty of daylight. It's not my first winter trip into the "bush," so I should fare better than I did in the desert a couple years ago. Take care and I'll write you all when I return.
Well, did you figure out what color the bear was?

White, of course! The only place you could walk south and then west and have the hypotenuse of the triangle the same length as the other sides is at the North Pole. Therefore, the bear will be white.
